Blog 19: No saggy baggy elephants!

 Good morning...... another 0.8kilos gone!

I asked the universe to please allow me to lose all my weight without getting baggy skin. And when I was getting cranky that my losses were coming in grams rather than kilos (that it was happening in small lots) I then realised that maybe it was so that I wouldn't go all saggy baggy elephant.

So I am now at peace with just over a kilo every 2 weeks.

Starting weight: 96.9
Current Weight: 88.5
Total loss now: 8.4 kilos

My new scales also do BMI and my fat percentage... it tells me I have 31.7 kilos of fat... YUCK. Thats 35%

So for my friend DAN the MAN.... I gotta bit of work to do huh?

I am trying to make room in the budget for some group PT sessions to get the toning and the muscle strengthening happen. All in good time!
And this week we started a GoFundraise page which even has a goal thermometer to show how we are going. It's a shame, but we can't have it read the first $384 we raised.... but still. We are on the way!

So if you want to show your support in what we are trying to do..... then click HERE and it will taken to our fundraiser page. I can be grateful enough for the support so far... and I am hoping that my other friends who have waited in the sidelines now understand that I mean business! No fads! This is going to be the way I make a difference in this world and I hope that you can help me do it too!

I wonder what the women in the Cambodia Centre for Girls would think if they knew I was walking my ass off in the hope that my friends would chip in and help them out and stay safe.... interesting thought.

Hope you all have a fab week and cheer me on walking in the wind and cold!

XOXO

Blog 18: It's the little things that count

Well it is crazy house this morning... two dinosaur boys and grumpy adults.
We had a massive day yesterday enjoying the spontaneity of the local festival- face painting, jumping castles, rides and then we took the boys for a run around a big park. Lots of energy expended there by us adults keeping up with them too!!

The offer to crash on the couch was inviting- but I realised that it is always the exercise you do when you are tired that makes the difference. So the Run Keeper went on and I did a solo walk for a change- managed to knock off 5 klicks in the hour and went a different path than usual with a few good hills.

I was grateful when I got up this morning that I was still in the 80 somethings- something I saw dissapear after our night out to dinner with friends and a few nights later for our anniversary. It was so ironic that the night we refused desert the staff came out with their famous creme brulee with a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY written in chocolate around the indulgent plate. So it has taken some much more stoic efforts to get back there again... hopefully next week 88 something and then I won't have to worry about the possibility of bouncing back to 90- it is heartbreaking!

Starting Weight 96.9
Current Weight 89.3
Total Loss 7.6 Kilos

I hope you all have a great week of choosing the stairs, parking a bit further away, taking the pram or just not choosing the couch!

Catch you next week!
XOXOXO

Blog 17: Yeah baby YEAH BABY!!

GOOOOOD MORNING BLOG WORLD!!!!!

YEAAAAAHHAAAAAH!

Well, it finally clicked over on the scales! I must apologise for a Saturday weigh in but I really needed for the scales to reflect how I was feeling; lighter and a little fitter... just 80 something! But all week 90.4 then 90.0 it was TEASING me all week. I was determined. I refused the hot cross buns.... I ate sushi when I wanted schnitzel burgers, I ate the Tom Yum when the girls were eating creamy curries.... I walked, I jogged, I pushed that pram full of heavy boys.....

and Finally.

Starting Weight: 96.9
Current Weight: 89.7
Total Loss:   7.2

Blog 16: AAARRGGH so close!- DONATION MILESTONE!

Good Morning!

I am ever so grateful to have lost another 0.6 kilo this week- and I certainly know how every half kilo adds up in the long term.... but JEEPERS CREEPERS! To be 300gms away from being in the 80 something kilos range! GRRRR so CLOSE!!!

This Weeks Excuses-
  1. It has been raining cats and dogs and I haven't been able to do the daycare pickup on foot.
  2. The hubby hasn't been home when the kids are in bed for me to leave and go walking
  3. I have had a heap of other commitments after hours that I prioritised over exercise; including grumpy children.
  4. I have eaten what I have had available (mind you... no junk food though) and no time to prepare anything healthier.
Next Weeks Plan-
  1. Get the exercise bike from mum's house as a wet weather plan and for when hubby not home.
  2. Prioritise food preparation and exercise before the other comittments and know that it is possible to fit everything in!
  3. Get to 89 kilos by next week!!!

So drum roll---------

Another donation milestone- some of my loyal followers donated at the 4 kilo mark, some in between, and some NOT YET. So Here are the vitals.....

Starting Weight: 96.9
Current Weight: 90.2
Total Loss: 6.7 Kilos

WOW- I have to remind myself that it is possible for a working-mother-of-two to eat better
and sneak some exercise and make a difference!!

If you want to get behind me and show your continued support please donate to my cause and give me an extra reason to do my best, to do better than my best
and to get my grove on week after week!
