Week 11 & 12: Don't you forget about me!

Good morning my trusty readers! I must apologise for being lax in my blogging. I would like to say that it is because we have had a hectic time looking after a critically ill family member, trying to get Christmas sorted and still getting on with the crazy life that is a family with two babies. However true, it is still a bunch of excuses!

Having said that- please don't forget about me! I may have disappeared off the blog-radar but, my timid friends.... so did you! Please send me a message on Facebook or reply to my blog and ask me where the heck my updates are! These are the times I need you the most! I love it when I am doing well and people comment or send me motivational messages... but it is just as important when I am not doing well because that's when I need this Jog & Blog diet to work for me- which is when I am doing it tough and I need the spurs on to keep going!

When I didn't quite achieve enough to even donate last month I was very disappointed in myself and it's ok to hear it from my fellow followers that I need to get back on the horse! Otherwise my little Kilo-for-Kids project feels like a flop and I KNOW that it is not! In the last couple of months Phil has lost 8 kilos and I have lost over 5 and have so far raised $364.50. Not so bad for two people already wearing one dress size less (well Phil a pants size less hahaha) and who now walk 7km's most evenings and eat far more healthily!

So... my new time low for the last week has been 91.4!

I want to be in the 89's by Christmas- THIS IS MY NEW GOAL!!

Please keep me in your thoughts and leave me a message (down the bottom you can reply or leave it on Facebook on the Kilos for Kids fan page) and I am going to do my damndest to get there!!!!

I hope that the beginning of the silly season is seeing you all happy-crazy and I look forward to catching up with you all in the holidays!

XOXOXO

Week 10: Second Donation Milestone- (and Strategy Overhaul)

Good morning Fellow Followers! What a busy month it has been for us here at Kilos For Kids!

The website building for our fundraising campaign is happening in the background and as soon as we find ourselves a sponsor to fund it then we will be ready to rock and roll. We have had a few people contact us and say "wow what a great idea... I have been searching for the right motivation to make it stick and I know this is it! How do I join you?" and hence the website will have the ability for each and every one of you who want to start your own journey!

My journey has seen only one more kilo come off since the last donation milestone (that 91.7 number is really haunting me! I have never worked so hard for a kilo before and yet I have enjoyed some luxurious feasts at a wedding, a weekend away and well maybe one pork roast too many.

So a strategy rethink is in order- I vowed not to participate in any "fad" quick weightloss methods and I truly mean it! I have thought about shakes and pills and laxatives so that I wouldn't let my adoring public down. But I really want to remain a steady influence in my sons lives and that means eating a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner with them and not eating something "different". It has meant that I have had to cook very healthy for them too which is an added side bonus- though I have always put more priority into what I have fed them than myself. Having said that I am more than prepared to reintroduce some more (EEEK) salads and raw foods back in place of some of the simple carbs I have been eating. Happy to hear suggestions!!!!

So lets talk Money- if you have only joined in on our conversations recently and want to contribute regularly or even once off- the details are on the bottom and the current loss since day 1 stands at

Current Tally 5.2 Kilos!

So some of you contributed at the 4 Kilo mark and every dollar counts if you are prepared to make a small donation for the remaining 1.2 then please do! We can also catch up at the next milestone if your bank has a minimum transfer amount!!!

I also need a corporate sponsor to fund the website! If anyone knows anyone who is looking to invest in a great idea and get behind an exciting charity- email me at kilosforkids@gmail.com

So please all have a fabulous and prosperous week and I will touch base with you next week in the lead up to Christmas I know I will need your support more than ever!!

XOXO
