Week Nine: Better Late than Never!

Good morning fellow followers!
I have really been dragging myself  around this week and for reasons that I dragged myself around 28 days ago I almost didn't want to blog this week because I really had seen any loss for nearly two weeks which really made me feel like I was letting everyone down. Plus someone else in my house has been losing weight at the speed of light and I realised that I can't compare myself to anyone else. Everyone's journey is different and it will come off slowly some times and fast at points and really- just get up and at it and keep going.

So I did. And I moved a bit more this week- did a couple of extra 6km walks without the kids at a faster pace.
I didn't the cake. I didn't drink the vodka orange that I felt like the other night when I was at my most hormonal!

But grateful to be in the 91's!

And after someone near and dear to me breaking her weight into the 80 somethings I know have a new goal for the end of this month. So in a weeks time it will be my second donation milestone and I had better work my bum off again- this time I don't think I will be recording 4 kilos but I think for me, if I reach a milestone of being 80 something kilos that will be enough for me!

So watch this space for next week and get ready to part with a little bit of moola in support of my struggle and to help the struggle of others overseas where World Hope Australia use the money we raise!

So.... eye of the tiger and all that! Think of me this week working hard
to bring the end of month number up in the last week!

Have a good week too!

XOXOXO

Week Eight: Damn the Cab Sav!

Good  morning my fellow followers. Thankyou for those of you who have sent reminders for me to post this weeks blog. It is quite comforting to know that you think I had forgotten to weigh in! Ha!

Truth is, there was this beautiful wedding, a princess wedding. And at this wedding there was all the princesses favorite things. Haigs chocolates, Roast meat and potatoes with gravy, pavlova and apple pie and icecream. And did I mention the cab sav? It had been three years between drinks so I may have had a couple or 5.

So come Sunday morning, the indulgence had procurred an extra kilo on my white truth-telling scales. So it took Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of being back on deck, walking 6 kilometres a day to get to this moment so that I could record a loss!

A massive LOSS!

100 (gms)

92.2 =  4.6kg gone
So, lesson learned! Thou shalt not dive into meats of plenty and drink wine as water. Thou shalt serve a modest plate of salad and nurse the one glass as though it were many.

And on top of all that- my husband has started this journey a couple of weeks ago. Lost like 5 kilos in the first minute- so he has already out done my nearly 2 months of struggle in 2 weeks. So I have new motivation and a new "watch dog" so I have no reason not to start showing some much bigger numbers now!

Its time to crack the 80's I reckon. Watch this space!

See you next week..... (Monday this time I promise!)

Oh and Kilos for Kids has $322 in the kitty from last months donations too.... I am so proud that my struggle can help end others struggles so I will continue to do what I set out to and make a difference to my waistline and the world!

XOXO

Week 7: Still Going Strong

Early start to my morning with the two little ones thinking that early daylight meant early breakfast but now that they have temporarily returned to sleep I figure this is my time to get this weeks blog up!

What a week.

Last week was our first donation milestone- which we will do after the end of every month.

So, in our first month (and the donations are still coming in) we have so far managed to raise-
Drum roll please.......................

$270!!!!!!!!

Which is totally on track for my journey to eventuate in me 20+ kilos lighter and $1000+ raised for World Hope Australia which is just SO AMAZING!!!!!

So with this motivation in my heart and some extra good weather of late I have been pounding the pavement again managed to lose nearly another half a kilo!

Which brings me now to 4.6 down and 20 odd to go!

So in awe of the incredible support we have received so far.... including those who want to create their own Kilos for Kids journey and raise their own money too which is JUST AWESOME!!

I am also looking forward to getting the website up and running in the next week or so
SO WATCH THIS SPACE!

I am truly blessed to have the friends and family that I have in my life.

Looking forward to another great month and it feels like a good start so far!!!

Have a great week peoples

XOXO
